It has been said by someone smarter than I that we learn what we need when we need it...which is why school is sometimes viewed as a prison...but your diploma and your degree let the world know of your suffering at the hands of incompetents...and thus will give you free reign to do exactly what you rail against...teehee...teach or guide or co-learn and sometimes inspire the students to get what they need when they need it.

As a fellow WUSD "teacher" who used to talk with Jerry Farber in the stairwells at SDSU (he used to joke around that that was more conducive to engaging in discussion and our "auspicious meetings". . .), I applaud you! I, too, was wont to say that school interfered with education. I am actually leaving City College for that reason, among many, and to be more present at WUSD.

That said, I find your questions, commentary, images, and excursions, thought-provoking. I, too, am an avid reader of Foucault et al.

WUSD is a very special place. . .
